I recently attended a makeup workshop in central London, at the Illamasqua School of Makeup. If you don’t know, Illamasqua (a mix of Illusion and Masquerade) is a British beauty brand known for its bold and theatrical use of makeup. I have always wanted to attend of of these classes as I love out-there and expressive make up looks and was on a mission for some new inspiration for the new year!

So what was my verdict? Firstly the teacher of the class was an absolute delight – really engaging and was able to answer all my questions! We were able to experiment with loads of Illamasqua products, and then could purchase anything at a 20% discount (yay!). However I do highly recommend that you do a bit of research on Illamasqua makeup products beforehand and read tonnes of reviews. Otherwise you may just get sucked into buying into all the promotional speeches throughout the class and later regretting it.

Being a make up artist, I don’t feel like the class was very detailed, but for a beginner its perfect!

Please ask away if you have any questions! Happy 2016! 🙂
